The “Paolo De Simone” Spermoteca at the Natural History and Lands Museum in Città della Pieve (Perugia)

He is an Agronomist and PhD in Agricultural Chemistry. During his PhD he carried out research activities at the Department of Agronomy - Crop, Soil & Environmental Sciences - Purdue University, Indiana, U.S.A. He is currently the head of the Innovation Area of 3A – Agri-Food Technological Park of Umbria (3APTA). In this role he coordinates innovation and technology transfer projects with the involvement of companies in the agricultural, agri-food and environmental sectors. He has been involved, for over twenty years, with the protection of biodiversity of agricultural interest and the enhancement of local agri-food productions in a regional, national and international context. Since 2017 he is a member of the National Committee for biodiversity of agricultural and food interest at Ministry of Agriculture (MIPAAF), representing the Umbria Region. The Committee was established by Law No. 194/2015 - Provisions for the protection and enhancement of biodiversity of agricultural and food interest.
