Francesca Leoni

She is Assistant Keeper and Curator of Islamic Art at the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, University of Oxford, as well as lecturer in Islamic art and associate researcher at the Khalili Research Centre for the Art and Material Culture of the Middle East, University of Oxford. Her research interests include the visual and material dimensions of Islamic mysticism, Persian book arts, eroticism in Islamic art and, more recently, divination and the occult sciences in the Islamic tradition. She is the author and editor of several volumes, exhibition catalogues and numerous articles, and she curated a number of important exhibitions.
